Wolf Man - Movie Review
What’s going on everybody, Today we’re going to be reviewing the new Wolf Man movie, before I get started make sure to join me down below share your thoughts on Wolf Man. This is the new Leigh Whannel movie. He’s the guy who’s worked on several notable horror movies like Saw and Insidious, notably he directed The Invisible Man which in my opinion is a very solid horror film, so I was no doubt excited about this one. Let’s start with things I didn’t like about the movie, and the main thing I didn’t like about the movie was the overall plot and the flow of the film. I just felt like this film meandered or in other words it just felt like this movie just had a lot of filler to it and it just felt like the characters here are just stuck in purgatory where the plot just doesn’t feel like it’s moving forward at all. My other main issue is that the characters in here just didn’t really connect with me on a deep level. The best part of this movie was the technical and filmmaking abilities of Leigh Whannel. On a technical level I think this movie did well. Leigh Whannel has worked in horror his entire career so he obviously knows how to use the camera and sound to direct scenes that are terrifying and very tense. There were a lot of creative ways he used camera work and sound in this movie. There was one scene in particular that really impressed me with its use of sound. It was a scene where one of the characters is watching a spider crawl up a wall and at the same time you can hear a wolf man creature outside, and the sound of the wolf creature is sync up to every step the spider takes which was to me just so clever.
